Each class will look into a different artist/band.
examples: Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Adele, Johnny Cash, the Beatles
-Groups of 3-4 will look at the same song and interpret through the lens of their given figurative language tools.
-Each individual is responsible for creating a poster-sized model of the song's examples of their given figurative language skill.
-They must be able to explain their work to the class during the gallery walk the following week.
This model uses Adel's "Rumor Has it" to discuss what a metaphor is and is not. It gives examples from the song, then explains how it helps the artist explain her meaning. Click the pic for a link to the song :-)
